On Monday, the Collegiate Sprint Football League named its weekly awards recipients for Week 3 of the Regular Season. Spartans Ryan Kenny, Bo Maroney and Nyir Jones were selected as the Offensive Player of the Week, Special Teams Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week respectively, following the team's 25-18 come-from-behind victory over Caldwell University on Saturday.
Ryan Kenny - CSFL Offensive Player of the Week
Kenny (Jr.|QB|Brooklyn, N.Y.) completed 14-of-28 passes for 235 yards, three touchdowns and an interception for the maroon and gold. He also ran the football six times for a total of 13 yards.
Bo Maroney - CSFL Special Teams Player of the Week
Maroney (Sr.|RB/K|Sparta, N.J.) kicked the game-tying 30-yard field goal for the Spartans, while also going 2-for-2 on extra points. He also recorded 20 rushing attempts for 61 yards and converted on a second quarter two-point try.
Nyir Jones - CSFL Rookie of the Week
Jones (Fr.|WR|Camden, N.J.) picked up four catches for 69 yards and two touchdowns, including a 5-yard TD pass early in the second quarter and the game-winning 15-yard TD reception from Ryan Kenny mid-fourth quarter.
Additionally, Donnell White, Jr. was named to the CSFL Weekly Honor Roll for his 9 tackle effort (7 Solo, 2 Assisted) against the Cougars. The sophomore defensive end from Jersey City, New Jersey, registered a sack on Caldwell quarterback Frank DeMaio for a loss of 11-yards and also broke up a pass.
