On Monday, the Collegiate Sprint Football League named its weekly awards recipients for Week 2 of the Regular Season. St. Thomas Aquinas College Sprint Football player Ethan Hence was named the Defensive Player of the Week following the team's 59-7 victory over Molloy University on Friday.
Hence (Houston, Texas) produced seven tackles, including three solo, to help lead an outstanding defensive effort against the Lions. The junior safety also recovered a fumble and returned it for a 30-yard Spartans touchdown.
STAC (1-1, 1-0 CSFL North) heads to the Keystone State for a Saturday afternoon (October 5) matchup with Mansfield University. Kickoff between the Spartans and Mountaineers is set for 5:00 p.m. at Karl Van Norman Field.
