
The St. Thomas Aquinas field hockey team lost, 4-0 to visiting Kutztown University on Tuesday afternoon.
Madison Wampler scored twice in the second half to open up the eighth-ranked Kutztown University field hockey team's lead as the Golden Bears earned a 4-0 non-conference win.
The visitors defense was strong in front of goalkeeper Chardonnay Hope, not allowing a shot in the first half. The Bears outshot STAC 24-2 and held an 11-2 advantage in penalty corners.
Jessica Stewart recorded 11 saves spending most of the game in goal for the Spartans. Kaitlyn Gee had 2 saves in her 12 minutes of action.
The Spartans will return to the field when they travel to Bellarmine this Friday for an 11:00 am game. STAC will also play Lindenwood at Bellarmine during the road trip.
