The St. Thomas Aquinas field hockey team lost 2-1 in overtime to Lindenwood on Sunday afternoon. Louise Richardson scored an early goal for the Spartans giving them a 1-0 lead off an assist from Kaitlyn Gutenberger.  

Lindenwood had fifteen shots on goal to the Spartans two.  Goalkeeper Jessica Stewart played a solid game recoding thirteen saves.  Lindenwood also had a strong advantage on corners with twenty to the Spartans one.  

Tara Robben scored an unassisted goal in the first overtime session to give Lindenwood the win.  

The Spartans will return to action on Thursday when they host Mercy College at 4:00 p.m.
