Galison, Hohenstein and Lionarons Earn NE10 Field Hockey Fall Academic All-Conference Team Honors

On Tuesday, the Northeast-10 Conference released its Academic All-Conference teams for the 2022 fall season, as the league recognized outstanding student-athletes for their academic and athletic excellence.

St. Thomas Aquinas College's Hailey Galison, Jessie Hohenstein and Brittany Lionarons were each honored by the NE10 for their successes both on the field and inside of the classroom for the sport of Women's Field Hockey.

Hailey Galison (Jr./Wantagh, N.Y.) tallied two assists for two points over 19 games for the Spartans this season. Galison will graduate in her junior year at STAC with a degree in Sports Management. She will also suit up as a member of the college's Women's Lacrosse team this Spring.

Jessie Hohenstein (Gr./Stroudsburg, Pa.) posted an 9-6 record with a 1.67 goals against average and a .714 save percentage in 15 starts for St. Thomas Aquinas in 2022. As the primary goalie for the Spartans, Hohenstein also recorded four shutouts and her stellar play helped propel her team to their third NE10 playoff appearance. Brittany Lionarons (Sr./Alphen aan den Rijn, Netherlands) recorded a goal and two assists for four points in 19 contests for the maroon and gold. Lionarons will graduate this spring with a degree Liberal Arts and Sciences will also earning minors in Human Rights, Social Justice and History

The Northeast-10 Conference recognized a total of 102 outstanding student-athletes from seven sports for their academic and athletic excellence.

To be eligible for selection to NE10 Academic All-Conference teams, a student-athlete must have met or exceeded the following minimum requirements:

  • Started in at least half or played in at least two-thirds of the team's competitions as a significant contributor.
  • Achieved a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average (GPA) or better on a 4.0 scale.

Each NE10 institution, as well as two associate members of the Conference, had at least one student-athlete named to the Academic All-Conference teams. For a full list of honorees, please CLICK HERE.
