St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Field Hockey players Jasmijn Van Drunen and Nicola Van Vuuren were each tabbed NE10 All-Conference selections on Thursday, as the league revealed its annual awards, voted on by the conference's coaches. In addition, Van Drunen was named the Northeast-10 Conference Women's Field Hockey Rookie of the Year and an All-Rookie Team honoree.
Van Drunen (Fr./Bilthoven, Netherlands), the first team all-conference selection, recorded 8 goals and 6 assists, for 22 points, while playing in 18 contests for the Spartans. She was also named the NE10 Rookie of the Week on October 17 for her game-winning goal against #10 nationally-ranked Saint Anselm, in a 1-0 victory.
Meanwhile, Van Vuuren (So./Pretoria Gauteng, South Africa), the third team all-conference honoree, finished first on the team in goals (10) and points (24) in 19 games played.
St. Thomas Aquinas posted a record of 10-9 (8-5 NE10) during the 2022 season.
