St. Thomas Aquinas College Women's Field Hockey player Nicola Van Vuuren was named an NE10 Second Team All-Conference selection on Wednesday, as the league revealed its annual awards, voted on by the conference's coaches. 

Van Vuuren (Jr./Pretoria Gauteng, South Africa) recorded a team-leading 11 goals and 6 assists, for 28 points, while playing in all 18 contests for STAC. Her 66 total shots (42 on goal), two game-winning goals and two defensive saves were also tops for the Spartans. 

St. Thomas Aquinas posted a record of 4-14 (4-9 NE10) during the 2023 season.
