STAC Field Hockey Drops 6-0 Decision at Millersville

Millersville, Pa. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Field Hockey team dropped a 6-0 decision to Millersville University on Wednesday evening at Chryst Field at Biemesderfer Stadium.

STAC falls to 0-4 on the year, while the Marauders improves to 3-1.

Millersville outshot St. Thomas Aquinas 26-9, with the hosts ahead 15-4 in shots on goal. Codi Bollinger (2 goals), Caitlin Wasserman, Qhayiya Nogoduka, Erin Esterhuizen and Morgan Lennon tallied goals in the contest.

Adriana Alfisi, Aaliyah James, Sofia Corominas Cuen and Madelyn Verstraten led the STAC offensive opportunities with two shots apiece. Four of those shots reached the cage and were all turned away by Millersville's Kerstin Koons (W, 3-1).

Carlijn De Groot (L, 0-4) got the start in the cage for the Spartans and made seven saves on 12 shots faced. Madeline Schaefer came on in relief for the fourth quarter, stopping two of three shots.
