Pleasantville, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Field Hockey team wrapped up its three-match road trip on Tuesday afternoon, with a stop at Peter X. Finnerty Field in Westchester County to take on Pace University. The host Setters would net four first half goals en route to 6-2 victory over the Spartans.
STAC drops to 1-8 overall and 0-4 in NE10 play, while Pace improves to 5-4 and 2-2 on the year.
Katelyn Fairhurst and Krista Dietz each tallied a pair of goals for Pace, while teammates Patience Mares and Jenna McCrudden also added to the Setters totals on the scoreboard with a goal apiece. Meanwhile, Phileine Langeveld and Madelief Heijmans each scored their team-leading fourth goals of the season for St. Thomas Aquinas.
In goal, Celeste Pagliaroli (W, 5-4) got the start for the Setters and allowed no goals, while facing a single shot in 30 minutes of action, before being replaced by Morgan Strecker, who allowed two goals on six shots in 30 minutes. Ailsa Ogilvie (L, 0-4) got start in net and went the distance for the Spartans, making 5 stops on 11 shots.
