The St. Thomas Aquinas Men's golf team won their second event of the spring at Nyack College's event held at Blue Hill Golf Course. The Spartans were led by Chris Fitzpatrick who shot a season low two under par 70. Fitzpatrick has excelled this spring winning his second event after firing a front nine score of 35 (-1) and an identical 35 (-1) on his back nine. Senior Brian Viola played a stellar round of golf highlighted by a two over par front nine (38) and an even par back nine (36) for a day of 74. Junior Sean Campbell grinded out a solid day of five over par golf. After struggling early in his round, Campbell found himself six over par through his first five holes but battled to finish his remaining thirteen holes at one under par for a round of 77. Rounding out the scoring was freshman John Casey who shot 82 after a three week layoff with a broken hand. Senior Pat Schwarze struggled, but grinded out a round of 83.

The Spartans are on the road this weekend at their final event before the NCAA Super Regional tournament up in Massachusetts at the UMASS Lowell Riverhawk classic.
