The St. Thomas Aquinas golf team put together a strong second round in the NCAA tournament. The round began on Tuesday but was cut short due to the weather and finished this morning. STAC had a first day score of 322 on Monday and came back with a strong 306 for round two. Sophomore Chris Fitzpatrick led the Spartans with a score of 77 for both days making him tied for thirteenth overall.
STAC is currently fifteen strokes off the leader, Fayetteville St. University. John Casey and Patrick Schwarze put together a two day score of 160 each while Sean Cambell and Brian Viola are at 164. Campbell had a strong comeback posting a team low 74 after a tough opening round.
The Spartans will tee off at 11:00 am Wednesday for the final round.
