Season Outlook

The St. Thomas Aquinas men's golf team is set to embark on another exciting spring season with their annual trip south to beautiful Puerto Rico. The Spartans will be among nine Division I opponents when they face off at the 2nd Annual St. John's Spring Invitational. The event is hosted at the Palmas del Mar resort in Humacao, PR.  Among the nine teams are Notre Dame, St. John's University, Virginia Commonwealth, Bowling Green, George Mason, UNC Greensboro, Johnson & Whales, Old Dominion and Santa Clara.

After five days on green grass, the Spartans are back on the road in Ocean City, MD at the 9th Annual St. Thomas Aquinas Invitational. The Spartans will be looking to defend their title from last year's impressive outing.  As host, the Spartans have some tough competition when Dominican College, Wilmington University, Farleigh Dickenson and other regional foes come to town.

The Spartans have two other scheduled events against the strong East Region at the Peter King Memorial Tournament hosted by Dowling College at Long Island National Golf Club. Their final event will be up in Lowell, MA when the Spartans participate in the Riverhawk Invitational.

St. Thomas is currently ranked 2nd among the 30 teams in the East region behind Adelphi University and looks to advance to NCAA Super Regional for a third consecutive year under coach Stephen Ferrara. "I am extremely confident in our team this year and feel like we have the talent to make it to the first National Championship in school history."
