St. Thomas Aquinas Golf Team Ranked #2 in East Region

The St. Thomas Aquinas men's golf team is currently ranked #2 in the East Region as voted on by the NCAA Division II Men’s Golf Committee.  The Spartans have won two out of their last three tournamnets as a team.  Junior Chris Fitzpatrick has set the pace for the Spartans winning three consecutive tournaments.

STAC's most recent win was the Goldey-Beacom Invitational which was cut short due to the weather conditions.  The Spartans posted a one day team low of 300 to secure first place.  Fitzpatrick shot an even par round of 70 to lead the pack.  Fitzpatrick also finished on top at the St. Thomas Aquinas College Spring Invitational in Rum Pointe Golf Course in Berlin, MD.  The junior posted rounds of 69, 71 while the Spartans had a record breaking team low score of 288 in the opening day.  The weekend before Fitzpartick had an eagle on 18 to win the tournament as STAC took top honors over host Wilmington University.
