The St. Thomas Aquinas men's golf team finished the opening day of the Dominican College Charger Challenge with a team score of 308 putting them in third place and six shots off the lead. Senior Sean Campbell led the way for STAC with a 72 finishing in second place overall. Chris Fitzpatrick posted a 76 while Nick Delango carded a 78 to pace the Spartans. Robert Rivera and John Casey each posted an 82 making them tied for 26th place out of the 55 golfers in the field.
Adelphi University leads the field with a team low of 302 followed by Wilmington University's 307. Stuart Pulkinen of Adelphi shot the low score of the day with a three under 69. The field will be back on the Spook Rock Golf Course in Suffern, NY for the final round of play tomorrow.
