The St. Thomas Aquinas men's golf team finished tied for tenth after the opening round of the Palmas Del Mar in Humacao, Puerto Rico.  STAC finished with a team score of 306, eighteen strokes of the leader, USC Upstate.

Junior Mike Gunderson shot a team low, 75 in the opening round at The Flamboyan Course.  Senior Sean Campbell and Nick Delango shot a pair of 76's.  Chris Fitzpatrick and John Casey rounded out the scorers with a 79 and 80 respectively.
