The St. Thomas Aquinas men's golf team finished the first round of the NCAA Super Regionals that were held at The Hershey Links in Hershey, PA. The Spartans shot a record low team score of 280 putting them 8-under for the day and alone in first place. Chris Fitzpatrick along with Joe Harney each shot 68. John Casey and Thomas Linehan each shot even par, 72.
Harney got out to a strong start shooting five under on the front nine and finishing with six birdies overall. Fitzpatrick played both nine's 2-under par with a total of five birdies for the day. Casey had four birdies playing the front nine 3-under par while Linehan had four birdies and shot 2-under on the front nine.
