Spartan Golf Fifth in Latest NCAA East Region Poll
The St. Thomas Aquinas College Golf team has been ranked fifth in the latest NCAA Division II East Region poll, released on Friday

After concluding the 2022 fall semester finishing first, third (twice) and fifth (twice) in five events, the Spartans began their spring season with an ninth place finish at the Wingate University J. Ralph Hargett Invitational and then followed that up with a third place finish at the University of Mount Olive The Trojan to round out the month of March.

St. Thomas Aquinas will return to action on April 3 for the two-day Barry University Battle at the Shores, which will take place at the Miami Shores Country Club in Florida.

The Spartans will look to be participants in the NCAA Atlantic/East Super Regional for a 20th consecutive year, which in 2023 will be held at the Iron Valley Golf Course in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, May 11-13.

The top four teams and the top student-athlete not with a team from each regional will advance to the finals May 22-26 at Avalon Lakes Country Club in Warren, Ohio. The National Championship will be hosted by the Mountain East Conference.
