Lebanon, Pa. - St. Thomas Aquinas College Golfer Donte Groppuso continued his excellent play on the links Friday, maintaining his top spot on the leaderboard by shooting a 69 for a second straight day, to come in at 6-under par following the second round of the NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Super Regional at the Iron Valley Golf Club in Lebanon, Pennsylvania.
As a team, the Spartans showed marked improvement, leapfrogging several schools to hold the #3 overall spot in the standings with a day two team score of 297 (+26).
In addition to Groppuso, Djaia Darrason 76/+10 (T39), Tanner Little 74/+12 (T55), Juan Ignacio Simon 78/+13 (T60), Nolan Skaggs 80/+15 (T74) rounded out the Spartans scoring.
The Spartans will tee off at 12:40 p.m. on Saturday, May 13th, as the tournament concludes and an Atlantic/East Super Regional Champion is crowned.
