Spartans Finish Third At Mount Olive

Goldsboro, N.C. - The St. Thomas Aquinas Men's Golf team followed up their recent victory with a third place finish at The Trojan, hosted by the University of Mount Olive in Goldsboro, NC. The team was led by junior Djaia Darrason who posted a 3-day score of 216 ( 73-69-74) which was good for a fourth place finish in the event. Nolan Skaggs was next on the team with a tournament score of 219. Skaggs fired rounds of 71-69-79 leading him to a 7th-place finish for the event. Tanner Little was the next-best Spartan with a 223 total score. Little carded rounds of 72-71-80 earning him a top 20 finish. Juan Ignacio Simon finished in 29th place after a 3-round score of 227 (72-75-80) while freshman Diego Ocasio finished in 44th behind rounds of 84-78-74.

The Spartans finished third behind nationally ranked Barton College and Mt. Olive. The team will be back in action on Saturday, April 13 at the RoarEE hosted by Columbia University at Wiltwyck Country Club in Kingston, New York.
