Spartan Golf Team Ready for East Regionals

The St. Thomas Aquinas College men's golf team has been selected to participate in the 2016 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championships Atlantic/East Regional, which will be hosted by LeMoyne College, as selected by the NCAA Division II Men's Golf Committee and announced by the association on Friday evening.

The four regional competitions, which consist of two regions each, will be conducted May 2-4. Each regional will consist of 20 teams and eight individual players. The Atlantic/East Regional will be hosted by Le Moyne College at Timber Banks Golf Club in Baldwinsville. Action gets underway at 7:30 a.m. each of the three days of competition.
 
The East Region teams are Wilmington University (the champion of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference), St. Thomas Aquinas College, Southern New Hampshire University (the champion of the Northeast-10 Conference), Bentley University, Concordia College, Roberts Wesleyan College, Chestnut Hill College, Post University and Assumption College.

The top five teams and the top two student-athletes not with a team from each regional (regardless of region) will advance to the finals, May 17-21, at Green Valley Ranch in Denver, Colorado as part of the 2016 Division II National Championships Festival. The finals will be hosted by Metropolitan State University of Denver.
