The St. Thomas Aquinas men's basketball team fell to Bridgeport, 94-79 in their final home game of the season.  Justin Brown and Jason Halloway each scored 20 points for STAC while senior Jamie Blanchard added 16.

The Purple Knights opened the game on a 9-3 run with a layup from Tim Cokley.  Blancahrd scored a layup and Nick Lopez added a jumper as the Spartans closed within two, 9-7.  However, Bridgeport used a 9-2 run to extend their lead, 18-9.  A pair of free throws from Brown made the score 41-27 in favor of the visitors at the break. 

Halloway hit a 3-pointer to bring STAC within nine, 46-37 at 17:27.  Halloway was 6-8 from behind the arc.  Bridgeport had five players score in double figures led by Jermaine Washington's 19. 

The Spartans honored senior Jamie Blanchard and grad student Shawn Weaver in a pre-game ceremony.  Blanchard has recorded over 60 career blocks in his four years.  Weaver added 5 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists for the night. 

STAC will travel to Queens College for their final game of the season.  Tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
