The St. Thomas Aquinas men's basketball team beat Molloy College, 70-52.  The Spartans had three players score in double figures as Irin Stark had 18 points, while Jamie Blanchard added 17 and Justin Brown had 16.  Blanchard and Brown also added 12 and 10 rebounds respectively.  Daniel Skinner had 8 assists for STAC.

STAC got out to a 17-5 start in the opening minutes of action as Dane Dixon scored a layup at the 11:58 mark.  The Spartans extended their lead to 15 when Brown scored a layup at 7:03.  STAC controlled the opening stanza taking a 36-22 lead into the break.  Stark led all scorers in the first half with 11 points on 5-7 shooting from the floor. 

The Spartans maintained a double digit lead for most of the second half until Jimmy Nolan sank a pair of free throws with 5:10 left in the game.  Nick Lopez scored a layup to put STAC back ahead ten on the next play and the Spartans cruised to a 70-52 victory.

The Spartans held a strong advantage on the boards, 45-32.  Dariel Concha had 15 points and 11 rebounds for Molloy.  STAC will return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Dowling College for a 7:00 game.
