The St. Thomas Aquinas men's basketball team lost to Bridgeport, 66-56.  Justin Brown had 19 points and 5 rebounds for STAC.  Jamie Blanchard and Nick Lopez each added 11 points and 5 rebounds.  Daniel Skinner had 8 assists and 2 steals for STAC.

Lopez scored back to back layups to give STAC an 8-6 lead at 13:37 in the first half.  Two possessions later Blanchard converted two free throws to put the SPartans ahead 10-8.  The Purple Knights went on an 8-0 run to regain the lead for good.  Bridgeport went into the break ahead 31-24.  Lopez led the Spartans in the first half with 9 points. 

Jason Halloway drained a 3-pointer to bring STAC within six, 53-47 with 5:08 left in the game.  However the Purple Knights were able to extend their lead back to 16 with 2:23 on the clock.  Bridgeport had a 28-24 advantage on the boards.  Tim Cokley had 17 points and 9 rebounds for UB.

The Spartans will return to action on Monday when they travel to Queens College.
