Rookie standout Chaz Watler recieved top honors from the East Coast Conference as the 2013-14 Rookie of the Year and an All-Conference Honorable Mention. Senior forward Omar Kellman earned Second Team-All Conference Honors while junior point guard Marcus Henderson joined Watler as an honorable mention.
Watler put together an impressive freshman campaign for St. Thomas Aquinas. The guard led all first-year players, and ranked 12th in the ECC, in scoring with 13.8 points per game. A six-time ECC Rookie of the Week, Watler posted eight 20 point games and 17 double digit scoring performances on the season.
Kellman, who scored his 1,000th career point in the ECC Championship game, led the Spartans with 14.5 points per game and 8.2 rebounds per game. He shot 52.5% from the floor and finished ranked fourth in the conference. Kellman was named ECC Player of the Week 2 of the season.
Floor leader Henderson averaged 13.4 points per game, shooting 39.3% from beyond the arc, to go along with 4.1 assists per game (5th in ECC). He ranked fourth in the conference in 3 Point Percentage at 39.3 percent.
