The St. Thomas Aquinas College men's basketball team stormed to an 85-59 victory over Felician University in a non-conference game at Aquinas Hall. Justin Reyes, Aaron Cust, and Chaz Watler led the way with 12 points each as the Spartans improved to 2-1 on the season while Felician dropped to 1-1.

STAC started the game in fine fashion, with James Mitchell and Cust each hitting from deep to set off a 14-0 run. Reyes and Cust each scored four straight as part of a 12-0 lead later in the half to make the score 36-12, and the Spartans went to the halftime locker room with a dominant 47-19 advantage.

Felician scored the first nine points of the second hall in holding STAC off the board for four minutes before Watler hit a trey to make the score 50-28. The Golden Falcons would draw as close as 18 points, but would not threaten the rest of the way.

Freshman Daniel Wilson recorded 10 points for the hosts, with Jordan Compas leading the way for Felician with 11 points. The Spartans dominated the glass to a 40-28 advantage, while shooting 51% from the field (34-of-67).

The Spartans return to action this weekend at the Dominican College Tournament, facing Goldey-Beacom College on Friday at 6:00 pm before playing the hosts Saturday at 8:00.
