3:57 - Off a miss, a foul on Saint Rose as time expires.. GAME OVER - SPARTANS WIN!!!

3:54. Jones with a putback cuts it to one. Mitchell is fouled with 15.4 left. 67-66.

3:53 - Mitchell splitting the pressure is fouled in the backcourt with 32.3 left. Makes two. 67-64

3:52 - Pause to check the clock, Mitchell, Reyes, Watler, McFarlan, Cust for STAC. Clock put at 37.8

3:50 - Great possession by Knight ends with Dorgler lay-up with clock winding down. St. Rose calls last time out, STAC with one left. Spartans lead, 65-64 with 37.4 seconds left.

3:49 - Huge stop, Knights get an offensive board with shot clock winding down, but STAC steals and Reyes is fouled. Double bonus, Reyes makes two 65-62 with 1;03 left.

3:47 -STAC pressure almost forces a turnover. St. .Rose timeout, 17 on the shot clock, 1:28 left. STAC by 1.

3:45 - refs timeout, checking the monitor to see if Watler was elbowed on the inbound. No foul called.

3:44 - Reyes again on the mismatch with Jones, three point play puts STAC back on top 63-60 with 1:41 left.

3:43 - Dorgler layup puts SR up by two, two minutes left.

3:41 - Reyes through a double-team misses the shot, doesn't get the call, much to the chagrin of the Spartan Army. Timeout, Saint Rose, 3:01 left. Tied at 60-60, CSR ball.

3:39 - Sayre makes a pair, Golden Knights outstanding from the line. McFarlan fouled in the act, three point play ties the game at 60, 4:32 left.

3:36 - Herrity makes a pair, Saint Rose up by two, 16-of-18 from the line.

3:35 - McFarlan stepping up, fouled in the act, makes a pair to tie the score at 56-56 with 5:26 left.

3:30 - McFarlan from the left elbow, Herrity answers with a three-point play. McFarlan again. 56-54 with 6:00 left.

3:30 - Spartans get a big stop, media timeout with 7:02 left, still 53-50 Saint Rose.

3:27 - deCourtenay fouls out with 8:24 left, fouls are 10-5. Sayre to shoot two, makes both to make the score 53-50. Saint Rose is 13-of-15 from the line.

3:26 - Pressure forces a turnover, Cust's layup makes the score 51-50.

3:25 - deCourtenay with a putback off a Reyes miss, STAC calls time, trailing 51-48 with 9:15 left.

3:22 - Sayre hits a baseline 15-footer, Cust is called for a questionable charge, and Dorgler hits a three. 51-46 Saint Rose. 9:35 left.

3:21 - Reyes to the basket draws Lipinski's fourth. He comes out with 10:51 left. Reyes makes one to tie the score at 46-46.

3:20 - Sayre makes both, Saint Rose with the lead for the first time at 46-45.

3:18 - Mitchell is called for his fourth, thinks he got all ball, refs disagree. Media timeout, two shots for Knights coming out, 45-44 STAC with 11:10 left. Fouls are 7-3.

3:16 - Reyes is fouled on the offensive glass, makes one, Sayre is taking charge for Saint Rose, attacks the basket and cuts the lead to 45-44 with 11:30 left. He has 18.

3:12 - Boyd hits a three to cut the gap to 42-40, Reyes with another artistic right-hand answer. Timeout STAC, 44-40 with 13:02 left.

3:09 - Koziol and Watler miss from deep, but Lipinski picks up his third on the rebound. He stays in, that would be a major loss for Knights, as seen in the first half.

3:06 - Spectacular defense by Reyes, with a block down low and a leaping play to throw the ball off Lipinski. STAC ball, media timeout, 42-35 with 15:56 left.

3:05 - It's 19 degrees outside but both teams heating up, Dorgler's three-point play cuts the gap to 42-35, 16:28 left. Watler and Mitchell with three fouls, deCourtenay picks up his fourth.

3:02 - Watler stays hot, a top left three makes the lead a dozen, 42-30 with 17:55 left.

3:01 - de Courtenay forces a five-second violation, Mitchell nails a three. STAC's biggest lead at 37-26, first minute of play.

2:59 - Teams come to the benches; the Spartan Army, slightly diminished but no less vocal, give the boys a big hand. Second half about to start, Saint Rose ball...

2:46 - Justin Reyes has 17 at the half, Chaz Watler 11. Sayre leads Saint Rose with 8. The Spartans have led throughout and are 20 minutes from the Elite Eight.

2:44 - Spartans hold, Reyes hits, 34-26 at half.

2:43 - Reyes misses and Mical-Ryan Boyd hits a trey. 32-26 under a minute.

2:40 - With Lipinski on the bench, Reyes is exploiting a mismatch with Jack Jones - he's scored three straight hoops and drawn two fouls on Jones. Coach Anderson calls time, Reyes shooting one-and-one with 1:49 left, STAC, 32-23.

2:37 - Watler has 11, Reyes 9 after making one of two, 26-19 STAC.

2:35 - Reyes muscles his way in, misses the shot but draws second foul on Lipinski, he'll shoot two after the media timeout with 3:46 left, 25-19 Spartans on top.

2:34 - Reyes with a gorgeous block, Watler with a jumper, then a block on Watler is his second foul, getting a rise out of the STAC bench. Fouls are 10-6. Coleman makes two, 25-19 with 4:02 left

2:32 - Spartans steal the inbound, Cust is fouled on the way up and makes two - 23-17 with 4:50 left.

2:29 - Dorgler whistled for his second, goes to the Knights' bench. Offensive foul on deCourtenay, his second with 4:53 left, 21-17.

2:26 - Foul shot is off, Dorgler goes to the line and makes a one-and-one, 21-14, 6:43 left.

2:23 - Watler with an artistic fallaway three from the right side is good, plus the foul on Jamal Greenwood. The senior will go for the four-point play after the media timeout, 7:46 left, 21-12 Spartans.

2:19 - Mitchell whistled for his second foul, comes to the bench.

2:17 - Reyes makes a pair and subs out for Ross Greenfield. 16-10 STAC

2:16 - McFarlan with a drive and nice reverse lay-up breaks a six minute scoreless streak. Sayer answers, Reyes draws a shooting foul after the media timeout, 10:35 left, 14-10, Spartans.

2:13 - Spartans have run cold and Golden Knights' defense is digging in, McFarlan draws a charge, 12:42 left, 12-8 STAC.

2:11 - Saint Rose is patient on offense, slowing the pace. Lipinski jumper cuts the gap to 12-6, 14:11 left.

2:08 - Julian Lipinsky breaks the drought for Saint Rose, media timeout with 15:11 left, 12-4 STAC.

2:04 - Spartans pressure creating havoc, just over two minutes in, Spartans with a 12-2 lead. Watler with a pair of threes, Reyes with a dunk off a turnover.

2:03 - Mitchell with a steal and a wild pass fortunately finds an open Watler for three, 1:15 in, 5-0 STAC.

2:02 - Reyes misses but gets his own rebound and the putback puts STAC on top, 2-0.

2:01 pm - Jump ball, won by St. Rose. We're underway, 40 minutes to Sioux Falls

1:30 - What the heck, Justin Reyes factoid of the day... over the past two seasons, the Spartans have a record of 36-1 (that's thirty-six and one) from January through March with Reyes in the lineup. Their one loss was by one point at Bridgeport on February 8.
