The St. Thomas Aquinas men's basketball team was honored on Monday evening for their outstanding season; advancing to the NCAA Elite Eight for the first time in the program's history.

The Spartans won the ECC Regular Season title, as well as the ECC Tournament Championship advancing to the NCAA tournament for the second year in a row.  STAC won the NCAA East Regional to advance to the Elite Eight in Sioux Falls, SD. 

Dr. Margaret Fitzpatrick (left) and Lanny Cohen (right) hosted the Spartans, administrators and family members in an evening that celebrated their 28-6 season.  

Senior's Aaron Cust and Chaz Watler along with head coach Tobin Anderson presented Dr. Fitzpatrick with a replica NCAA Elite Eight trophy.
