Reyes Keeps Scoring: Spartans Standout Named to NABC All-American Team (UPDATES 3/21 - Basketball Times, D2CCA)

St. Thomas Aquinas College men's basketball standout Justin Reyes has added to his trophy case, being named as a 2018 Division II All-American by the National Association of Basketball Coaches. Less than one week ago, Reyes had earned First Team All-District honors from the NABC.

Update, 3/21 - In addition to his previously-announced honors, this week Reyes has been named a First Team All-American by Basketball Times as well as the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA). In each of these awards, the STAC redshirt senior was one of just three players nationally to be selected to First Team status for both of these kudos.

Though his senior season has drawn to a close, Reyes' historic career continues to earn recognition. That career included leading the Spartans to the first three East Coast Conference championships in program history, three straight NCAA Tournament appearances, three consecutive ECC Player of the Year honors, and now ranks as the conference's all-time leading points scorer.

This off-season alone, in addition to his ECC and NABC kudos, he also is on the list among 25 finalists for the prestigious Bevo Francis Award for Excellence in Small College Basketball for the second straight season. That list will be trimmed to 10 national finalists on March 31st, with the ultimate winner to be announced on April 2nd.
