St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Basketball player Osbel Caraballo was named the East Coast Conference Player of the Week on Monday, following the Spartans' 95-80 home victory over Mercy College.
Caraballo dropped 27 points and grabbed 8 rebounds on Saturday against the Mavericks. The sophomore forward from Bolivar, Venezuela shot 67 percent (12-for-18) from the field and 100 percent (2-for-2) from the foul line, while also picking up a blocked shot for STAC.
The #17 NABC ranked Spartans (18-3) will play their next four games on the road before returning to Aquinas Hall, starting at Molloy College on Wednesday, February 5. They then embark on their Upstate New York weekend, facing Daemen (February 14) and Roberts Wesleyan (February 16), before wrapping up at Queens on February 19. They return to Aquinas Hall to square off with NYIT on Saturday, February 22.
