Spartans Slide Up Two Spots to #12 in Latest NABC Coaches Poll

The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Basketball team has been ranked #12 overall in all of Division II Men's Basketball according to the latest poll released on Tuesday afternoon by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).

Last Wednesday's road victory at Molloy College (73-68) has STAC sitting with a 19-3 overall record, and a 9-1 ECC mark. The Spartans are currently being led by Osbel Caraballo (Sophomore/Forward/Bolivar, Venezuela) - averaging 16.2 points per game & 7.5 rebounds per game, Demetre Roberts (Sophomore/Guard/Mount Vernon, NY) - averaging 15.6 points per game & 3.2 assists per game and Sekou Cisse (Senior/Guard & Forward/Harlem, NY) - averaging 14.5 points per game & 8.5 rebounds per game.

The team's offense currently averages 80.8 points scored per game, while their defense surrenders an average of only 71.5 points per game.

An ECC showdown is on tap at Daemen on Friday, February 14, followed by a contest at Roberts Wesleyan on Sunday, February 16. After traveling to Queens on Wednesday, 2/19, the team returns to Aquinas Hall to take on NYIT on Saturday, 2/22.
