Eight-Game Win Streak Moves STAC Men's Basketball Into Top 15 in Latest D2CSC, NABC National Polls

In the midst of a eight-game winning streak, the St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Basketball team has moved into the top 15 in both the College Sports Communicators (CSC) and National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II national rankings.

STAC now sits at #12 in the D2CSC rankings and #15 in the NABC standings. Additionally, the maroon and gold continue to hold the top spot in the latest D2CSC East Regional poll.

The Spartans have racked up an magnificent 19-3 overall record and a 10-1 mark in the East Coast Conference.

St. Thomas Aquinas is currently being led by James Patterson (So./G&F/Richmond, Va.) - averaging 24.2 points & 8.5 rebounds per game, Jamal Barnes (Sr./G/Temple Hills, Md.) - averaging 12.0 points per game, Kyle Pulliam (So./G/Silver Spring, Md.) - averaging 11.9 points per game and Rich Smith (So./G/Bronx, N.Y.) - averaging 9.4 points, 6.2 rebounds & 5.2 assists per game.

The team's offense averages 91.6 points scored per game, while their defense surrenders an average of only 80.0 points per game.

St. Thomas Aquinas hosts crosstown rivals Dominican University on Wednesday, February 14 in the 2024 Doc Schelin Classic at Aquinas Hall Gymnasium. The Spartans and Chargers will tip-off at 7:00 p.m., with ceremonies in honor and memory of Dr. Robert Schelin, former STAC Dean of Student Affairs and Professor of History and Political Science, taking place prior to the non-conference clash.
