STAC Men's Basketball Returns to Top 20 in Latest D2CSC, NABC National Polls

Clinching their fourth straight ECC Regular Season title (seventh in last ten seasons) this past weekend, the St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Basketball team has once again returned to the top 20 in both the College Sports Communicators (CSC) and National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II national rankings.

STAC now sits at #14 in the D2CSC rankings and #17 in the NABC standings. 

The Spartans have racked up an outstanding 22-5 overall record and a 13-2 mark in the East Coast Conference.

St. Thomas Aquinas is currently being led by James Patterson (So./G&F/Richmond, Va.) - averaging 24.0 points & 8.4 rebounds per game, Kyle Pulliam (So./G/Silver Spring, Md.) - averaging 13.6 points per game, Jamal Barnes (Sr./G/Temple Hills, Md.) - averaging 11.3 points per game and Rich Smith (So./G/Bronx, N.Y.) - averaging 9.4 points, 6.4 rebounds & 5.4 assists per game.

The team's offense averages 91.4 points scored per game, while their defense surrenders an average of only 80.4 points per game.

STAC closes out its 2023-24 regular season schedule at Mercy University on Saturday, March 2. The Spartans and Mavericks will tip-off beginning at 5:00 p.m. inside of the Neil Judge Student Athlete Center in Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.
