
Caldwell, N.J. - Six Spartans recorded double figures in scoring, as the St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Basketball team handed Caldwell University its first defeat of the season on Tuesday evening, a 93-70 decision, at the George R. Newman Center in New Jersey.
STAC improves to 5-3 on the year with its second straight win, while Caldwell slips to 6-1.
Hartnel Haye posted a game-high 16-point effort for the maroon and gold, while teammates Tyshon Judge (15 points), Luis Risquez (12 points), Derrick James (11 points), Zion Ruckard (11 points) and Jordan Green (10 points) also factored in the Spartans' totals, with each scoring in double figures. Meanwhile, Isaiah Philbert led the host Cougars in scoring, tallying 14 points.
STAC shot 52.2 percent from the field (36-69), while Caldwell shot 44.8 percent (26-58) from the floor.
