Buffalo, N.Y. - Troy'reon Ramos' 29-point effort helped lead the St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Basketball team to a decisive 96-83 victory over D'Youville University on Sunday afternoon at the Saints Center in Western New York.

STAC improves to 6-5 overall and 1-2 in ECC play, while D'Youville drops to 2-8 and 0-4.

The aforementioned Troy'reon Ramos posted a game-high 29 points for the maroon and gold, while teammates Luis Risquez (17 points), Derrick James (14 points) and Hartnel Haye (12 points) also factored in the Spartans' totals, with each scoring in double figures. Meanwhile, Elisha Warren led the host Saints in scoring, tallying 21 points.

STAC shot 51.3 percent from the field (39-76), while D'Youville shot 40.6 percent (26-64) from the floor.

STAC NOTES AND HIGHLIGHTS:

• Nine Spartans logged double-digit minutes in the ECC tilt.
• Derrick James led the maroon and gold with five assists on the day.
• Ramos hit 11 of his 16 field goal attempts, with 5-of-9 shots dropping in from beyond the arc. Meanwhile, Luis Risquez went 8-of-12 from the floor.
• STAC out-rebounded D'Youville by a 41-36 margin, with Shaun Arnold grabbing a team-high 10 boards for the Spartans.
• St. Thomas Aquinas picked up nine steals, with the Saints turning the ball over on 18 separate occasions.
• The Spartans earned advantages in three team statistical categories over D'Youville: Points off Turnovers (31-11), Second Chance Points (22-15) and Points in the Paint (56-32).
• The game featured one tie and one lead change.
• STAC's largest lead of the game came with just over two and a half minutes to play in the contest, when Spartans led by 27 points, 94-67, on a John Kallon dunk.
• St. Thomas Aquinas held a 47-38 advantage going into the halftime locker room.
• Luis Risquez led all scorers with 10 first half points for the Spartans, while shooting 56.0 percent (5-of-9) from the floor.
• STAC best shooting half came in the second stanza, with the maroon and gold hitting 20 of its 39 total shots for a 51.3 field goal percentage and 6 of its 11 three-point attempts for a 54.5 percent clip.

D'YOUVILLE NOTES AND HIGHLIGHTS:

• Nine Saints logged double-digit minutes in the contest.

• Moore and Noah Hutchins led D'Youville with four assists apiece on the afternoon
• Warren went 7-for-10 from the floor, with Moore hitting 6 of his 15 field goal attempts.
• Elisha Warren also grabbed a game-high 11 boards for the Saints.
• D'Youville picked up six steals, with the Spartans turning the ball over on 17 separate occasions.
• The Saints earned advantages in two team statistical categories over St. Thomas Aquinas: Fastbreak Points (22-10) and Bench Points (26-24).
• D'Youville's largest lead of the contest (five points) came in the early minutes of Sunday's contest, when the Saints took a 5-0 advantage on a Justin Moore jumper.
• Elisha Warren led the Saints with nine first half points, while shooting 75.0 percent the foul line (3-for-4) and 100.0 percent from three (2-for-2).
