
Sparkill, N.Y. - Four Spartans scored in double figures on Thursday evening as the St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Basketball team secured their second straight victory, 91-74 over Georgian Court University at Aquinas Hall.
STAC improves to 7-5 on the year, while Georgian Court falls to 2-10.
Luis Risquez recorded a team-high 21-point effort for the maroon and gold, while teammates Troy'reon Ramos (16 points), Tyshon Judge (15 points) and Hartnel Haye (11 points) also factored in the Spartans' totals with each scoring in double figures. Meanwhile, Cameron Edmonds led the visiting Lions in scoring, tallying a game-high 30 points.
STAC shot 46.5 percent from the field (33-71), while Georgian Court shot 40.5 percent (30-74) from the floor.
STAC NOTES AND HIGHLIGHTS:
- Nine Spartans logged double-digit minutes in the non-conference contest.
- Tyshon Judge led the maroon and gold with five assists on the night.

- Georgian Court out-rebounded STAC by a slim 48-44 margin, with Hartnel Haye grabbing a game-high eight boards for the Spartans.
- St. Thomas Aquinas picked up 10 steals, with the Lions turning the ball over on 18 separate occasions.
- The Spartans earned advantages in two team statistical categories over Georgian Court: Points off Turnovers (19-11) and Bench Points (32-15).
- The game featured two ties and one lead change.
- STAC's largest lead of the game came with just over three minutes to play in the contest, when Spartans led by 22 points, 89-67, on a Shaun Arnold free throw.
- St. Thomas Aquinas held a 40-28 advantage going into the halftime locker room.
- Luis Risquez led all Spartans scorers with 11 first half points, while shooting 83.3 percent (5-of-6) from the floor.
- The Spartans have scored 90 or more points in five games this season, and hold a record of 4-1 in those contests.
- STAC's best shooting half came in the opening stanza, with the maroon and gold hitting 16 of its 34 total shots for a 47.1 field goal percentage and 4 of its 7 three-point attempts for a 57.1 percent rating.
