STAC Men's Basketball "Under Consideration" As Initial NCAA Division II East Region Poll Revealed

Sparkill, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Basketball team is one of ten teams in the East Region listed as "under consideration" for NCAA bids in the first NCAA Division II Men's Basketball rankings, as released by the regional advisory committee with games played through Feb. 16. The East Region consists of the top teams from the East Coast Conference, the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference, and the Northeast-10 Conference, and the regional rankings are used to determine at-large bids to the East Regional portion of the NCAA Tournament following conference tournaments at the end of the season.

STAC has earned bids to NCAA Divison II Men's Basketball Tournament in each of the previous nine seasons and stands as the reigning, defending East Coast Conference Regular Season and Tournament Champions.  

St. Thomas Aquinas heads out on the road for its next three contests, first visiting Molloy University on Wednesday, February 19. The Spartans and Lions tip things off beginning at 7:30 p.m. in Rockville Centre, New York.
