St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Basketball player Ky Panda-Massey was named the East Coast Conference Rookie of the Week on Monday, following the Spartans 2-1 week on the hardwood, with weekend victories over Caldwell University (93-86) and Post University (89-72).
Panda-Massey (Clinton, Md.) shot 58.0 percent from the field (14-of-24) and 90.0 percent from the stripe (9-of-10) to lead St. Thomas Aquinas to a 2-1 week, including 15 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the field in an 89-72 win over Post and eight points, four assists, and three rebounds in a 93-86 win over Caldwell.
STAC (3-2) breaks for the Thanksgiving holiday, but returns to action on Sunday, November 30 when the Spartans visit Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Opening tip is set for 1:00 p.m. at the Kovalchick Convention & Athletic Complex in the Keystone State.
