Stephen Finkel netted his first career collegiate hat trick and Shaun Benson had a goal and four assists for the St. Thomas Aquinas College Spartans in a 10-6 win over the Catholic University Cardinals in their first game of the Deleware Valley Collegiate Hockey Conference East Coast Showdown Tournament at Ice Works in Aston, PA on Friday evening.
Douglas Harrison and Carter Taylor each scored two goals, while Patrick Burns and Zachary Teats had a goal apiece, and Peter Gianatiempo (W, 2-0) made 29 saves for the Spartans.
