Dix Hills, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Ice Hockey team's 2021-22 campaign came to a close on Saturday afternoon, as the Spartans fell to Sacred Heart University, 8-1 in the Metropolitian Collegiate Hockey Conference Tournament Semifinals.
STAC wraps up its season with a 9-8 record, while Sacred Heart moves to 16-0 and advances to the MCHC Tournament Final to play the winner of #2 Columbia University vs. #3 Stevens Institute of Technology on Sunday afternoon.
Douglas Harrison tallied the lone goal for the Spartans late in the contest, while John Rosabella (7-8) got the nod in goal and stopped 38 of 46 shots faced.
