Goalie Michael Pippo of the St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Ice Hockey team has been named the Metropolitan Collegiate Hockey Conference Player of the Month, following the Spartans 4-0-1 October.
Pippo (New Rochelle, N.Y. ) allowed just 13 goals in almost 213 minutes of action during October. The sophomore netminder went 3-0-1 in four games, with a 3.66 goals against average and a .910 save percentage.
STAC (5-1-1, 3-0-1 MCHC) hosts Yale University on Friday, November 3, with puck drop between the Spartans and Bulldogs set for 8:00 p.m. at Sport-O-Rama Ice Rinks in Monsey, N.Y.
