New London, Conn. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Ice Hockey team closed out the fall-portion of its 2023-24 schedule on Sunday afternoon, defeating the United States Coast Guard Academy, 9-2 at Dayton Arena.
STAC improves to 9-3-1 overall (6-2-1 MCHC) following the non-conference tilt in Connecticut.
James Tremblay and Nicholas Delia each tallied a pair of goals, while Jason Desalvo, Jeremy Poggi, Noah Barr, Andrew Fenninger and Jesse Formica also lit the lamp for the Spartans. In net, Theo Morris (W, 2-1) made 29 stops to pick up his second victory of the season in three tries.
