Danbury, Conn. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Ice Hockey team avenged an early season home overtime loss to Western Connecticut State University by downing the Wolves 8-2 on Sunday evening at the Danbury Ice Arena.
STAC captured its fourth straight victory and moves to 7-1-1 overall and 5-0-1 in MCHC play.
Jeremy Poggi tallied two goals on the evening, while Jason Desalvo, Devin Niccoll, James Tremblay, Conner Suthard, Daniel McKeon and Noah Barr scored a goal apiece for the maroon and gold.
In net, Michael Pippo (6-1-1) stopped 29 of 31 shots faced to earn his sixth win of the season in eight decisions.
