On To The Finals! STAC Ice Hockey Advances To Championship Sunday With 6-1 Victory Over SUNY Maritime

Great Neck, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Ice Hockey team advanced to Sunday's Metropolitian Collegiate Hockey Conference Championship Final, for a second straight season, with a 6-1 victory over SUNY Maritime College on Saturday evening at the Andrew Stergiopoulos Ice Rink.

STAC moves to 16-7 with the semifinal round victory over the Privateers.

James Tremblay, Tim Downs, Jason Desalvo, Andrew Fenninger, Nicholas Delia and Noah Barr tallied a goal apiece for the Spartans in the contest. In net, Michael Pippo (W, 11-5) made 40 stops to help the maroon and gold move on in the postseason.

The Spartans and Pioneers will face off beginning at 3:00 p.m. at the Andrew Stergiopoulos Ice Rink in Great Neck, New York.
