Monsey, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College Ice Hockey team opened the Metopolitan Collegiate Hockey Conference portion of its schedule on Friday evening with a 6-3 victory over Western Connecticut State University at Sport-O-Rama Ice Rinks in Rockland County.
STAC evens its overall record at 2-2, while moving to 1-0 within the MCHC.
Andrew Fenninger tallied a pair of goals on the evening for the Spartans, while Sebastiano Vinci, Anthony Prunty, Jason Desalvo and William Thyberg also found the back of the net for the hosts in maroon and gold.
Michael Pippo (W, 1-1) got the start in goal for STAC and stopped 32 of 35 shots faced to pick up his first win of the year.
