Spartans Finish Season With Program Record Five Wins

The St. Thomas Aquinas men's lacrosse team lost to LIU Post, 18-5 on Wednesday afternoon wrapping up their season at 5-10.  The 5 wins are a record best for the 2nd year program that did not win any games last season. 

Briele Caples scored three goals in the game, all coming in the 4th quarter.  Caples finished the season leading the Spartans with 44 goals and 24 assists.  Freshmen Tyler Senatore added one goal in Wednesday's game and finished the season second in scoring with 30 goals.  Brenton Mighty also added a goal on Wednesday to finish with 14 goals and 5 assists for the Spartans.  

LIU Post received 4 goals from Steven Frank and improved to 7-7 and 4-3 with the win.  The Spartans will return the bulk of their team which consists of mostly freshmen and sophmores while losing just two seniors; Michael McNally and Mark Paul.  

STAC opened their season with back to back wins against AIC and St. Rose.  The Spartans earned their first DI win over Hampton on April 8th and their first ECC win against Roberts Wesleyan on April 10th. STAC beat Notre Dame de Namur on their senior day to pick up their 5th win.
