Spartans Struggle With Lions

The St. Thomas Aquinas men's lacrosse team lost to Georgian Court 12-8 on Saturday afternoon.  Briele Caples scored 5 goals and added 1 assist.  

The Spartans held a 3-2 advantage after the first quarter; behind three goals from Caples.  Georgian Court turned the tide in the second quarter dominating the Spartans, 5-1.  The Lions held a 7-4 advantage at the break with Jake Sherman having four of their goals.  

The home team controlled the 3rd quarter added three more goals to take a 10-4 lead.  The Spartans tried to rally scoring four 4th quarter goals, three of them coming from Tyler Senatore. Thomas Hollway and Brenton Mighty added an assits for the game. 

Ryan Mello had 15 saves for the game.  STAC will return to action on Wednesday when they travel to Post University for a 3:00 game.
