Spartans Earn First Home Win With A 15-3 Victory Over Felician; Mello Notched 500th Career Save

The St. Thomas Aquinas men's lacrosse team beat Felician, 15-3 on Wednesday afternoon. Anthony Irizarry scored three goals and added two assists for the Spartans.  Tyler Senatore scored 3 goals while Kevin Alvora and Brenton Mighty added two goals each.  

It was all STAC in the first quarter as the Spartans had three different goal scorers.  Bodhi Gallo's goal in the second quarter gave the Spartans a 5-0 lead.  James D'Albora scored back to back goals for Felician to end the half with the Spartans ahead, 5-2.  

The visitors scored the first goal of the third quarter before the Spartans closed out the game with 10 more unanswered goals.  Ryan Mello earned the win for the Spartans with 8 saves including his 500th career save which he recorded in the second quarter.  The Spartans will return to action on Saturday when they travel to the University of D.C. for a 1:00 p.m. game.
