Spartan Men's Lacrosse Suffers 22-8 Setback to Georgian Court

The St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Lacrosse team dropped a 22-8 decision to the Georgian Court University Lions on Monday afternoon at Spartan Field

Tyler Senatore tallied six goals for the Spartans, while Luke Broderick and Casey Gillule scored a goal apiece. Ryan Guild (L, 2-3) got the start between the pipes for STAC and made 12 saves on the day, before being relieved by Giorgio D'Angelo to start fourth quarter. D'Angelo had 2 stops in 9:40 of action. Craig Peavy also saw time in the cage for STAC, playing the final 5:20 of the contest and making 1 save.

Georgian Court's offensive outburst was led by Thomas Levasseur with 4 goals, followed up by P.J. Saracino with 3 goals and 2 assists and Randy Collins with 3 goals. Tanner Lee (2 goals, 4 assists), Michael Ventresca (2 goals) and Dawson Heath, Dylan Pool, Nicholas Mann, Marc Barreau, Troy Longley, Ryan Rigby, Lucas Iarossi and Devin Bell (1 goal each) also contributed to the scoring for the Lions. Goalie Austin Geissel picked up his fourth win of the season, stopping 10 of 15 shots faced. Sebastian Farah and Andrew Candino shared the cage for the final quarter, making 1 total save. 

Shots for the game were 57 (37 on goal) for Georgian Court and 32 (19 on goal) for St Thomas Aquinas.

STAC (2-3) will next take on Wilmington University (DE) on Saturday, March 7th, with the opening draw set for 1pm.
