Sparkill, N.Y. - The St. Thomas Aquinas College team dropped its fourth straight contest on Tuesday at Spartan Field, falling to Georgian Court University by a score of 18-5.
How it Happened
- Georgian Court scored the first three goals of the match via Devin Bell, Michael Ventresca and Daniel Burnham.
- Jeremy Schucker picked up a late first quarter tally for STAC to make it a 3-1 contest after 15 minutes of action.
- The visiting Lions tallied five consecutive times to open the second quarter, with Michael Ventresca, Ryan Rigby, Daniel Burnham, Joe Zerr and James Sanford all scoring to push the GCU lead to 8-1.
- Jonathan Farley and Jack Margetson found the back of the cage in the final three minutes of play before halftime, to cut the deficit to 8-3 at the break.
- Following the intermission, Georgian Court outscored St. Thomas Aquinas by a 6-1 mark, with Millan Webster, Devin Bell, James Sanford and Michael Ventresca (3) all tallying goals and Jason Beddows getting the lone STAC score to push Lions advantage to 14-4 through three quarters.
- In fourth quarter action, GCU scored four more times in the frame, as James Sanford, Nicholas Mann, Millan Webster, DaShawn Lamar-Baldwin all found the back of the net, while Jonathan Farley picked up his second on the afternoon to close out the scoring in the stanza, giving the Lions an 18-5 victory.
