Joseph Casarella of the St. Thomas Aquinas College Men's Lacrosse team was named the ECC Rookie of the Week on Monday, following the Spartans 2024 season opener against Chowan University last weekend.
Casarella (Sloatsburg, N.Y.) tallied four goals in his first-ever game for St. Thomas Aquinas in a 13-8 setback to the Hawks. The freshman attackman recorded nine shots on the day, landing five on goal.
STAC (1-1) wraps it season-opening three-game road trip in Springfield, Massachusetts, visiting American International College on Saturday, February 17. The Spartans and Yellow Jackets will square off at 1:00 p.m. at Ronald J. Abdow Field.
